This is a little more towards Portland. http://www.smrcha.net
Burt runs a good club up there and may be able to point you to someplace closer to Sanford.

Since you're there, drive down to Kittery and have yourself some clam strips from Bob's Clam Hut. Those clam strips are wicked good. I used to eat at Bob's twice a week when I lived out there.

If you don't eat at Bob's, it's a huge missed opportunity.

Thats where I learned to talk like a Maine local. Even the locals couldn't believe I wasn't from Maine. Good times.

I love Maine. I might be moving back out there someday.

Hell ya I am gonna turn into a clam strip if I keep eating them. I grew up here so the accent is coming back quick.

Come on, he needs to go to Newick's across the border in Dover NH out on Dover Point Rd, and stop by Molly Malone's in Portsmouth for the best seafood chowder on the planet. I'm from Dover, and moved out here a few years ago. I'm counting the seconds until I get to go back.

No real heli content in this post, just a homesick New Englander.

Molly Malone's in Portsmouth
Molly Malone's = over priced for what you get. I did get have corned beef for breakfast there once, that was alright.

Best bargain in Po-town are the hot dogs and cheese fries @ Gilly's.

Live Music 7 days a week at the Press Room. I was a regular there on Thursday night open mics. I also played on the square downtown with my guitar case open. On a good night, I could pull in $100 in a couple hours.

You went there for food? I just went for the chowder and a pint of Guiness. Gillys is defintely good stuff, I used to work right by there at Computer Town on the corner of Market and Hanover in the mid 90s after graduating HS and before going to College. Bought my first heli while working there, actually.

Why would anyone in their right mind leave NH to go live in Iowa?

The promise of a good job. Didn't quite work out that way, unfortunately. I'm hoping to move the family back in a couple years. I've been very homesick lately.

I love that state. I especially love Portsmouth. And gorgeous women in capris pants. Portsmouth, NH has more gorgeous women in capris pants per capita than anywhere else in the world!

How can you guys mention food and not talk about PIZZA ?!? Yea I love scrimp, scallops and lobstah but there's no place in the US that has better pizza than the Northeast.

My brother lives in Houston and my sister lives in San Diego and they both say the best pizza is back here, I've also visited them and experienced the same thing, we go on pizza trips to find the best. They also say that people they've met in Houston and San Diego from this area say the best pizza is in this area.

You Chicago boys can keep your style of pizza in Chicago, we got the best :P
