i got the H6019T-1 torque tube and it doesnt have the pins at each end like my old torque tube, my other toque tube says performance torque tube. So did I just get the wrong tube or is this one I have without the pins a newer better torque tube.

I got the same thing with the new T-Rex 500 TT. This way I could easily add an extra bearing...Don't know if it is better than the old one.

With Align, normally a - behind the original part number with another number, means changed, up-graded or both.

They have done the same on the 700 as well. Replaced the pins with aircraft epoxy. I am not to sure how I like that. I usually buy the ones with pins at the local hobby shops before changing over. i have not heard of any failures yet though.

A piece of heat shrink over the pins works the best anyway .

well i think that did this because the pins sometimes would come out and start gauge your tail boom or cause a crash.

the 700 has two plastic pieces that went over the pins and I would put CA on it to hold it in place. I know they are doing it to save money but I like the pins. I would just worry about the torque twisting out the expoxy over time.

I know the new ones on the 500 now have different breaking strengths depending on which one you go with. Saves the gears in a crash. Putting the 600 LE together I see it came with a new style shaft also.

well I like the fact there is no pins so I can add more bearings but its a big gamble. Guess I will find out.

Why would you want to. Does it really help anything?

pins
The pins have nothing to do with adding bearings, they were very easy to push out, put another bearing on and re-insert the pin, then glue, heat shrink or whatever your prefered method of security.
