To everyone that lives in Mass or the New England area probably know Alex of Alex's R.C Hobby Works in Belmont MA.

Alex Passed Away this week and for those who knew him and want to pay respects I will try to post info as soon as I get it.

A photo of Alex is on our web site http://107th.org/photo.html He is the guy with a plank in the bottom left hand corner.

He was an Outstanding Helicopter Pilot and mentor to a lot of us that got in to helicopters. His shop was the only local one that carried helicopter parts and was convenient. He was always there to help anyone!

Alex was a member of a few clubs but he was a member of the 107th Flyer's Club for over 20 years. He was the first guy I saw flying helicopters and I was hooked ever since.

He will be missed by all that knew him

Update. Alex's family will be having a private funeral for Alex and the date was not disclosed There were a lot of things that had to be put in place before the service could take place I'm told.

However, the family did tell the president of our club, whom is a long time close friend of Alex's, that there will be a memorial service at Elliot Church in Newton MA for Alex on November 21st.

If anyone would like to make a donation in Alex's name to the ADA American Diabetes Association http://www.diabetes.org/ can do so if they wish. Or anyone else's name or just because they want to help find a cure for this horrible disease would be greatly appreciated.

I know about this all too well myself!!!!

Thank you for taking the time to remember our friend ALEX!

My prayers go out to the family, my older brother "46" has had diabetes since he was a kid and everytime I get a call that he has slipped into a coma it puts more grey hairs on my head. Hopefully someday they will find a cure or atleast something that can help.

So long and thanks for all the fish!

That's too bad about Alex. When I worked in Wellesley, I'd visit his shop weekly. I've gotten out of the hobby and drove by his shop on the way to the bike shop in Belmont last week and almost stopped in.
