The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Wednesday shows that 27% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty percent (40%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -13. That’s just a point above the lowest level ever recorded for this President. It’s also the sixth straight day in negative double digits, matching the longest such streak.

When history is written, B.H. Obama will make Jimmy Carter look like a statesman and a feared world leader. His hand picked general asked for 40,000 additional troops to handle the Afghanistan war, Obama said during the campaign was the one we must fight... and he is more interested in fighting Fox News than he is the Taliban and those who attacked us on 9/11.

Barack Hussien Obama is in way over his head and the political advisers he has cannot advise him on how to be an effective Commander-in-Chief. It is simply not in him to lead, this explains all the "Present" votes he cast in the Illinois State Senate.

God help us

But, he is trying to lead us into socialism at the worst time in our economic history and regardless of anyone or anything.

That is what he campaigned on. He said he will redistribute wealth. The suicide voters caught on to that and ran with it.

As someone who is a student of history and listened to my Parents about the "Great Depression" this is far from the worst time in our economic history, but I agree that BHO is doing all he can to take us further down the road to Socialism. In fact he is trying to advance Socialism faster than any other POTUS since Woodrow Wilson.

Something that has to be considered about career politicians is their unquenchable thirst for power. Democrats push harder for State control for everything, but Republicans are simply Socialism light when it comes to Government control.

I say we vote them all out and start over

Fantastic to hear from someone that is an Obama supporter. Many of us are down in the dumps because we believe he has taken a "financial downturn" and turned it into a "financial disaster".

Please tell us where Obama has been doing such a great job. I, and SNL, just don't see what he has accomplished that has been positive for this country.

Please enlighten me.

I see a lot of haters that criticize. What I don't see is people talking about solutions. It's easy to find all the faults in someone who is not or will not ever be in the same shoes. I'm simply saying that he is doing the best that he can in these times. Maybe if people stop fighting everything he does we may actually accomplish something.

When Bush was President I didn't agree with a lot of what he did. Many of the people on this forum didn't agree with him either. Those of you that supported him always said "He is our President and we need to support him" Many of those same people won't say the same for Obama now.

He has only been in office less than a year. Things aren't going to turn around right away. Things are getting better. I was out of work and found a new job right away. I was very lucky. My current position is sales. We are growing as a business. We have added 6 people this year. I have a few other friends who have alsp found jobs this year. It will turn around. Like I said, he is doing the best job he can do. I don't think anyone else in his situation who be doing any better right now. C'mon guys it hasn't been a year!! It took us a long time for us to get to this point. We aren't turning around overnight. Anyway it's just my .02 cents.

Good luck. I really don't think anyone could make up a fairy tale that explains a positive thing that Obama has done.

Barack Obama sees worst poll rating drop in 50 years
The decline in Barack Obama's popularity since July has been the steepest of any president at the same stage of his first term for more than 50 years.

By Toby Harnden in Washington
Published: 7:38PM BST 22 Oct 2009

Gallup recorded an average daily approval rating of 53 per cent for Mr Obama for the third quarter of the year, a sharp drop from the 62 per cent he recorded from April.

His current approval rating – hovering just above the level that would make re-election an uphill struggle – is close to the bottom for newly-elected president. Mr Obama entered the White House with a soaring 78 per cent approval rating

"Obama hoped that Congress would vote on health care legislation before its August recess, but that goal was missed, and some members of Congress faced angry constituents at town hall meetings to discuss health care reform. Meanwhile, unemployment continued to climb near 10 per cent."

Mr Obama is also facing widespread criticism for his drawn-out decision-making process over what to do next in Afghanistan.
