I currently have my gov setup using the gear channel for on and off but that leaves me with only one headspeed. I tried to tie the gear channel to the fMode switch but couldn't get any results with that. I looked at Pmixes but saw no way to tie them to the Fmode switch either. I'm only using an AR7000 rx so gyro uses channel 7 for gain leaving only the gear channel for the gov.

I'm sure there is a simple fix for this but at the moment I'm drawing a blank.

suggestions??

Thanks, Matt

On the 9303 you just have to activate the Governor function (page H-12 of the manual).

This will let set the speed you want (it will be using % of travel of the gear channel).

Thanks mdu6. That got me working on the flight mode switch but now I can't shut it off except by zeroing out the setting in the radio. I have been used to my old 9C which allowed me to turn it on and off via another switch. I've had this 9303 for over a year but still learning it. I went back and checked my 3 Furys. All three of them are setup using gov mode so I knew to do this at one point but obviously forgot! I think I ran into the not being able to shut off the gov in-flight on those as well.

I enabled the x9303 for the extra flight modes and turn them on with the aileron d/r switch. So flight modes normal, 1, and 2 are with governor set to 0%, and flight modes 3 and 4 are with the governor set to two other rpms.

Cool idea dog, If I'd read my manual a little closer I probably still wouldn't have thought of this! I'll have a look at that here in a few minutes.

thanks, Matt

set your gear to 0% and 100% on the travel setting [this is the on and off for the gov]
you can do a pmix of gear to gear

the switch position is for the flight mode switch. [norm, stunt1, stunt2]

go to the #5 on the curve and set that for your head speed...all of the other ones are 0.

Do three mixes like this with the different switch positions.

this is what I use for my gov and I believe it is on the model avionics site for the throttle jockey pro set up for the 9303.

bas: I'm working late tonight and have my radio beside me. I can walk you through it if you have problems.

puffy: no reason to complicate things with mixes when governor mode works just fine.

~Great idea with the flight modes. I've been looking for a way to shut off the Gov also.

I can't take credit for the idea.......it was on the model avionics site when I got my gov and I have been using those programs ever since with all of my govs.

I setup the extra flight modes and it worked perfectly. That was the simplest solution IMO. I have already set it up on all my other helis as well.
The P-mixes would have worked fine as well, I just couldn't think them through correctly as I had tried a couple of them earlier.

Thanks, Matt

Glad it worked. One thing I do use p-mix for is assigning the gear switch to my switchGlowPro. My rudder d/r switch controls gyro gain through the gyro menu. And aile d/r controls flight modes 3 & 4 for enabling the governor.

It took me a while to figure out that p-mix 1&2 are different than 3 and above. I used pmix-3 to mix gear->aux3 and it's enabled by the ger switch for the switchGlowPro.
