hi
the bottom of swashplate fell out

it's a flat ring about 0,5mm thick, 2mm wide.
Looks like a cover as now you can see the bearings.

the rest still looks OK.

Anyone else had this happen?

do I just snap it back into place? Do you think it is safe?!

tried that
its hard to see how it might snap in. there's no sort of recess or anything. There is rim which perhaps if I degrease might be able to glue back. it's a thin rim and will be hard not to get glue in the bearings.
almost like it's being held in place with the lubricant from the bearings!

Oh well - only one thing to do in my opinion ......

Buy a new swash - all your problems will be solved.

My retainer fell off a long time ago. Tried to push it back in. Not going to happen. I cut mine off and never looked back.

Mine did the same thing after the first few flights, I just cut it off. That was over 1 year ago, it is still fine. I just put a little oil on it every once in a while.

I have had helicopters that used open bearings in the swash. They never had dust covers and they ran for years. They were much easier to oil!

Same thing happened on my EXI 450. I just Cut the ring off and 50+ more flights so far and no issues. I keep my heli in a case so it does not get dirty in the basement.

500 swashplate
Don't tell me another part by ALIGN, that looks good but is made of high qulity ****!! It would be nice if after spending all the time in designing the bird to fly good with all the help of the pro pilot's It would be good if they just spent a little more time on a happy meidum of qulity parts across the board, not a mixed bag of junk!!
Are you guy's talking the older swash,or the newer one? or is there a difference? Good Luck!!
