The manual recommends Jive 60 LV, 80 LV or 100 LV.

I tried using my old Jazz 55-6-18 but the esc shutdown after 5secs of spoolup and was burning hot.

Anyone knows if the Jive HV series of escs will work? Im scared they are not compatible.

Im flying Trex 500 running 6S. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. My LHS didnt have the Jive 80 HV, so I settled for the Jive 80 LV. To my horror, when I tried to spool up, blades spun only very slowly, like 100rpm. I tried all the settings on my program card II but to no avail. Finally after wrecking my brain, I decided to swap around a few battery packs, the beast finally woke up! It seems that my old Turnigy 2650mah 6S 30C packs with about 40cycles on them cant power up the Minipyro. Hence the spooling up was stuck in some low voltage slowdown mode. Even though the volts seem ok and had no problems with my old align 500L motor.
