I've tried both and I personally think that you need to fly very hard 3D to really need 30%. After flying 20% tried 30% (4 gallons) and went back to 20% and works just great for my flying style.

I started with CP 30%, then went to 20% and now I run %15. For my flying style 15% is just fine.

If your sport flying 20% is a good place to start for most.

30% is a must if your looking for power and performance.

theres little power loss with 20 percent fuel over 30 just a little harder to tune may run slightly warmer.

I fly with OS91Hz:
2% nitro.
12% oil.
120C at CarbSmart.
A friend who flies with OS91-SZH and 20% nitro tried my helicopter and said afterward that they both have roughly the same power.

One thing to remember is that your climate and geographic location both play parts in how your motor will run.

Altitude and Temperature play large parts in what will ultimately work best for you.

This is Stefan's recent flight with an SZ on 15%..Not to mention the 3D is heavier than the 700..and the HZ has more power than the SZ.

Do yourself a favor..Buy a gallon of 20%, quit asking questions, you WILL be happy

To me the percentage of nitro in the fuel has become a way over-marketed thing..Everybody says you need it, half of the people havent tried anything but 30%. The difference between 20% and 30% is small, although there is a difference.

If you want to save a few bucks Just get a gallon of 20% and 30% and mix them together.

Like I said, you will be happy with 20% as long as you dont listen to everybodys opinion about it. except mine

I have always flown 30% with no questions but I may need to see what it would run like with 20%. Do you have to change the carb settings much?

i had to lean a fair bit when i changed down to 20 to keep the same power the tune envelope is smaller.turn the main 2 clicks at a time till full power climbouts start to sound rough then back out 2 clicks and the mid i leaned it so when u hit throttle hold it goes straght to tickover keep an eye on engine temps it will run hotter.this is with wildcat fuel align 91 h,outrage pipe, manic 2 703mm blades goes like a rocket.

I ran about 5 tanks of CP 20 in my heli to try it out. The first tank or two seemed about the same, but by the 4th tanks I DID notice a difference in performance.

Those of you who have tried 20% and say go with this, are you using it now? If your into hard 3d, do not think the 10th tank of 20% will fly like the first few as I think you WILL notice a drop in power.

me? CP 30% and since it works so well, I will not go to anything else. I am done testing fuels. I want to fuel and fly and CP30 provides this for me. Consistancy and power. All I need.
