11ms, 30 model memory, it looks like they stuffed a the old 9303 software in it and added 2 more channels. Very disappointing.

I agree ------ looking on the positive side---it MUST mean there is a killer Tx coming soon.

Then again that IS true it just doesn't have appearance as one of its pluses, 'cause it is the Spektrum DX8.

16X was in the skunk works years ago in Japan. Not sure why it never saw the light of day. It would be cool to see a totally new, revamped JR flagship system.

Simply a thought-------

We have finally outgrown the "more channels" = better mind set!
I know I have.
What matters now is speed accuracy and ergonomics. The "meat and potatoes" if you will.

True some 'may' have a use for channels numbering over 8 but it isn't me.
Couple that with the fact that channel processing time is one of three major factors in measuring latency and you have a reason.

From here on I HOPE it will be quality, speed, quality, accuracy, quality and ergonomics. and lets not forget ALL aspects of quality!

That's what it will take for me to buy a new Tx and or radio.
What good is 11, 12, 14 or 16 channels when I rarely ever use more than 6 possibly seven?

Unused switches mean nothing to me------how about you???

I never needed more than 6 channels and don't see myself needing more than that in the near future. But my newest radio got 12 channels. Why? Because there are features I want which are present only in the higher end radios. For example, I want the better feel of quad-bearing gimbals, the usefulness of throttle-stick-activated timer, the flexibility of assigning switches to certain functions, and the ability to use both 2.4GHz and 72Mhz in one radio. Where can you find a 6-channel radio that has all these features? EP200 V2 (flybarless)

You 3D guys are good with six channels I guess but I'm not. The more the better. More channels = better. Conversely, speed is not important to me at all. Any current radio is more than fast enough. Ergonomics are important. The 12X case and layout is nearly perfect. All they need to do is keep that and simply refine the innards and the software. I love JR except for some of the rigid ways they have about implementing functions. Anyway, a 16X was in the works and I certainly hope it makes it to market someday.

Ahhhh, you and Justin Stuart make my point.!!

How about those QUALITY gismos on a seven channel set.
Makes sense to me.

Then again we now have (OK almost have) the DX8.
Lacks a nice, nice case design. But the rest of it----we shall see.
Right????

I bought the 12X because I found the throttle stick timer to be invaluable. It would have been nice if they had included this feature in the DX7 or even the X9303.Avant RC

100% Agree, that is EXACTLY my thoughts as well and it seems I believe many more as well. If the 9503 had been made with 11ms and and a few more toss ins the DX8 will have it would be selling much, much more IMO. It just blows me away these guys are not seeing the meat and patatoes quality demand. Yes price is important, but getting what is most important in the radio is king to.
