Just a though on Polution, since the smoke in Nitro fuel comes from the synthetic lube used by most producers, I wonder if its that same as for petroleum based pollution.Bald Pilots usually wear hats!

I'm thinking nuclear, or nucular as G-daddy Bush woulda said. I want a nucular powered 3d heli 90x2!!! Super powerful, perpetual flight times, quiet? Only one real downside; if you thought lipo fires and funky chickens were bad, imagine your local flying field being unuseable for the next 10,000 years. No big deal! Just don't crash, right?

Bring it!

I gots meself a teeny tiny little chunk of "plutonium" or maybe its "uranium" I forgot which, its been so long. I was going to use it to power my furnace but maybe I will try it out on an experimental RC helicopter, why not I could fly for three years on a single nugget bro. fusion baby, fusion

"Uranium is cool. Uranus, not so much."

Now that's funny!!
I know they make a nuclear battery for emergency lights in places hard to get power to, so why not a nuke battery for the heli!! Then you would just need to add water to keep it cool!! Yeah, I like that!!

Four strokes
I have been flying my omega grand prix for 15 years, and just put a
.115 ys in it. I am buildiing a 505 with a four stroke, so I
am truly addicted.

I love the torque and fuel economy of the four stroke. It is a bit
more work to tune it, but very rewarding to dial in...and full
throttle, this one runs with the .91 two stroke with no apologies, (I run 40 percent (make my own fuel) for the power, consistency, and great cooling withhigh oil content)
I am addicted to the bass and the overall sound with an open
header, no muffler!

I for one with have to have 12 minutes with no power drop
(next gen battery) to be truly happy with electric...and I will still
miss my 4 banger sound...

Next stop, the new CDI YS .170 four stroke...

Now how do you make your own fuel, I'd like to try that! Whats the recipe, is it secret? If so, you could just pm it to me!!!! Please! I've looked before but had no luck finding one! I'm all about trying to find a cheaper way to fly, thats because i crash a little too much, hopefully this year will be better!Bald Pilots usually wear hats!

Mmmm, homebrew fuel with 11 herbs and spices.

I personally hope both forms are around for a long time. I just got a case of cool power on a group buy today. It's been sitting next to my Twrecks 450 all afternoon, no Armageddon yet.

A buddy of mine used to make fuel for us when I raced R/C boats. He bought a 55 gallon drum of Nitro from the NHRA Gatornationals every year and he would mix it to his liking. I would buy 60% from him regularly. Now he says you have to fill out a LOAD of forms and (for Homeland Security) and the cost of the nitro has quadrupled. Not worth it any more...........RonTeam MikadoUSA 480XXTreme, 550SX, 600SX, 700XXTreme, 800XXTreme!!

When I first started flying it wasn't the cost of fuel that was an issue it was the cost of parts and crashing. Fuel was just an expense. I guess now that crashing is rare fuel has become the main expense. I suppose that's progress and I should be happy now... I have nerves of steel but thumbs of jelly!
