Right now the preperations are going on in Germany to set up the TT booth at the Nuernberger Toy Fair .

I contacted Jörk Hennek(Thunder Tiger Europe PR Manager)about "if the Raptor e550/e620 is discontinued or not".

Even Jörk is busy in Nuernberg he e-mailed me back today.
On top of it he published a statement on the german heli forum rc-heli.de

Jörk asked directly Mr Aling Lai (founder and executive chief of Thunder Tiger Taiwan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thunder_Tiger
if the electric powered Raptor is no longer being produced or not and what about the spare parts support in the future.

According the question "that there will be no parts available any more"

Mr Aling Lai answered literally: Bullsh@#%

There is no productionstop for either the nitro or the electric version. Parts will be availble. That is a fact at today's levels!

Well lets's see..., all the 550e & 620e kits have dried up from US retailers shelves yet it's now reported that Mr."Bulls@#%" Aling Lai says, "There is no production stop for either the nitro or the electric version. Parts will be availble. That is a fact at today's levels"!

Wonder why I might not believe this...., Hmmmmm???

I do believe they will keep parts available for a while, I just don't believe the kits are still in production.

A-Main Hobbies has removed Thunder Tiger brand completely from their 600 electric category. Not just showing that the kits are "out of stock", or "back ordered", but completely removed the brand from the listings!

Don't get me wrong, I don't want to see any kit go extinct but The signs are sure out there that the old 550e & 620e may be gone??? I do believe TT will be coming with some form of revamped new large electric kit to replace the old ones. Why wouldn't they?

Guys, I started this thread and I didn't do it with any ill intent. The guy I spoke with at ACE sounded very sure of his comments which is why I reported it to start with. I hope the guy was wrong and perhaps there was just a delay in production and the kits come back. I guess time will tell.

I just posted the following comment at : "Main Discussion"

For those who go to the Nuremberg Toy Fair https://rc.runryder.com/t565118p2/

According to the german forums - the Thunder Tiger X50 will be shown

at the toy fair as a fuel powered helicopter (later there might be an

electric Version of the X50).

There won't be a TT 90 size helicopter at the exhibition.

The reason TT eccpm helis didn't sell well and are all but gone except for a few parts is most people flying Raptors are here for the Mccpm. The few that like eccpm weren't enough to keep the TT eccpm helis alive. The same thing will happen to the glorious X50 nitro.
I said it before but there are a few that insist that the raptor community wants eccpm well proof is in the sales, or lack of.
Mark my words
TT needs to stick with what brought people here to start with.
I can guarantee if the electrics would have been Mccpm they would be going strong.

I had started writing up reviews of all my stuff and when doing the e550, could not find it at the places I had shopped for it in nov 2008.

Helicraft is the only place I could find it:

Helicraft is overseas

Xheli just started to carry Thunder Tiger and the large electrics are missing from their line:

Good Luck on finding one. I had my local dealer call Ace Hobby today to see if I could order a E550 or E620SE. They have not had a E550 or E620SE in stock since August 2009. They said they had plenty of parts in stock.

Does it mean - that ACE is not supporting their valuable customers

with major parts for the e550/620 any more?

Even if a company discontinues a product like the EP Raptor - they should still support the pilots with parts for up to 5 years after production-stop of the e550/620.

If I know as a company, that my parts inventory is getting low - I'll place an order in time .

What about customer support?

Ace Hobby was supposed to call my dealer back and give an estimate when they would have E550/E620 servo trays. That was last Wednesday, still no call.
