Tuning change on OS 50H changing to a Hatori SAB-50-3D muffler
I'm getting a second Raptor 50 ready and will be installing the Hatori SAB-50-3D muffler on an OS 50 Hyper. The engine originally had just the stock muffler. Should I leave the mixture the same or should I richen it up for the first run? I know it wouldn't hurt, but just wondered what effect a high performance muffler has on mixture.

my guess is that you will need to richen the mixture. the Hatori will probably be freer flowing, and will have slightly less tank pressure. It's always safer to start rich. The worst that will happen when you error to the rich side is it may die and need to be re-started. On the other hand if its too lean it may die and you'll never restart it.
