muffler question

I found a great deal! In my raven 30, i am still using an os 32. At my lhs they had on sale a ks-30c pipe on sale for $30. I snatched that up in a heart beat. My question is that the muffler is touching my fuel tank. is that going to cause any issues?

I would imagine that the heat coming off the muffler would melt a hole in your tank

I wasnt sure if the muffler would of gotten hot enough to damage the fuel tank. What can I do to add a gap between the fuel tank and the muffler.

I think century has an extension available ( I think they ship them with their own pipes). If not, I'm trying to remember, but I believe Dubro used to make an extrusion that you cut to length.

yes but you have to mill it flat to make it seal,, you should find one that will work somewhere..

here is the Century Extrusion , I can't remember, does the 32 use the same Flang the 50 does ??

K&S make extensions for larger engines, as do funtech. The former may be a better bet.
