Stock 600 setup I picked up a used 600 so I don't have any instructions. What should the headspeed be on a Stock 600 for Normal and Idle up? It seems to be lifting off of the ground too soon. I'm used to Nitro models with governors, Is there a way to setup a governor mode with the Align speed control? |

N --> 0-50-75-85-100 Idle1 --> 90-90-90-90-90 Idle2 --> 100-100-100-100-100Pitch curves: N --> 25-37.5-50-75-100 Idle1 --> 0-25-50-75-100 Idle2 --> 0-25-50-75-100With electric you do not need to run a gov. Highest efficiency for brushless motors occurs around 100% output. They were designed to run this way. Some people do run in gov mode on the ESC but I've heard this is not ideal with the Align ESC. Don't know for sure because I have never used it.As far as pinion goes my kit came with 14T & 15T pinions. I am using the 14T. It was a good compromise between head speed and flight time. Probably the 11T pinion is giving a slower head speed than say a 14T or 15T pinion. To know for sure you would have to measure the HS in flight. I use the 600L motor but the HS really depends on the gear ratio of your main gear : pinion. I'm not sure if all the diff 600 kit main gears were the same or not.EDIT: I meant to say I use the 650L motor. |
