Need help please,can't watch my sim recordings

I have Realflight G3.5 and when I record a flight I can watch it while Realflight is open.If I close the program and go to my Realflight recordings folder,I click on the video but it won't play

.I tryed it in both of my programs (Nero Essentials 7 and Windows Media player) but nothing

With Nero a box pops up that says "Cannot play this media file.The file is either corrupt or the application does not support the format you are trying to play" ..

With Windows media player says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The Player might not support the file type or might not support the codec that was used to compress the file " .

Realflight uses a proprietary video encoding (actually I doubt if it's even encoded video for that matter) that can't be played back using any traditional media player. If you want to be able to view your vids outside realflight, use a screen capturing utility while you play back the video. That's what most folks do I think.If it can't hover, it ain't worth flying.

You take a fraps recording of the RealFlight recording. This is a pretty hardware intensive task though, so don't expect results above 25fps on an average machine.Team Avant
