California’s unemployment rate reached 12.2 percent and Nevada’s climbed to 13.2 percent.

That’s particularly important in Nevada because illegal immigrants make up an estimated 12.2 percent of the state’s workforce, according to a 2008 Pew Hispanic Center study.
The important information is that Nevada's unemployment rate reached 13.2% according to Bloomberg and Illegal aliens make up an estimated 12.2 % of the state’s workforce, according to a 2008 Pew Hispanic Center study.

OK Harry Reid, your state's at full employment without the burden of illegal aliens. Yeah, yeah, the liberals want to say that the illegals are only taking jobs that Americans don't want. I haven't heard any unemployed Americans saying this.

Remember that illegal being exploited at $4/hr is keeping the employer from having to hire an American at a working wage.

It's funny how fast wages go up when there's not enough workers.

exactly einstein. I can't find work, but I'd mow lawns now to make some cash. But....they aren't hiring. Why??? They're fully staffed with tacos. I know some and they're good guys. But I can't be friends with them because I don't respect the fact that they're here illegally. And I tell them so. I just don't see how hard it is to round 'em up, ship 'em out. Get that wall finished. Hire a bu++load of unemployed Americans to guard that border. Many problems solved in one fell swoop. I mean REALLY, HOW HARD IS IT????

Here is the second paragraph from the first article: "Rhode Island rounded out the list of states with the highest level of unemployment since data began in 1976, the Labor Department reported today in Washington. California’s unemployment rate reached 12.2 percent and Nevada’s climbed to 13.2 percent."
They did not start keeping unemployment data until 1976????

(I added the bolding to the text)

I have mentioned a couple of times how to solve the problem of the illegals without mass roundups and deportations:

1. Secure the borders. ALL sovereign nations have the right to control their own borders, and to enforce their own laws.

2. Require all employers to verify that the people they employ are legally in this country.

3. Enact and enforce harsh punitive penalties for every illegal person a company hires.

This secures the borders and prevents people from illegally entering our country. This removes the incentive for companies to hire people who are here illegally. Remove the influx, remove the reasons they are coming here, and they go back to their own countries on their own.

One thing that puzzles me is why the liberals insist we MUST allow people into this county illegally, when they are only here to be exploited by the evil and greedy business owners.

True, what we really need is a government that will enforce our laws, and doing that defend our sovereignty. For all of you who are so upset that we want to have the people here illegally go home, please read the laws of other countries. Read the laws of Mexico concerning crossing their southern border illegally, then write to them and protest those laws.

In central Texas, our local paper states that our unemployment has a high of 7.3% in the month of August. Over the last year 2800 jobs were lost. Education and health workers had a gain of 600 while government workers had a gain of 500 jobs.

I'll quote the front page:

As a result, local personnel companies say they’re seeing a lot of desperate people.

“They’ll take anything,” said Danny Lincavage, operations manager at All Staff Personnel Services. “People with degrees in finance are doing general labor, landscaping and catering. Some temps were making $10 to $15 an hour, but now they’re making the minimum wage.”

They make those wages if they can find work at all.

“We’ve had people in here multiple times that we haven’t been able to place, and they tell us the story is the same at other agencies,” Lincavage said. “Jobs are scarce.”
