My new heli addiction This is mostly true, I swear.  My wife now thinks I am addicted to RC helicopters. From another room this morning, she heard the electric razor while I was shaving, and right there she accused me of flying my new micro heli again. “That’s impossible!” I said, “The blades on this heli are nowhere near sharp enough”.Well perhaps not this very last part, but you get the idea. The two things that keep me from flying now, (1) work (2) batteries rechaging. I know how to fix the second, more batteries or of course NITRO. Real problem is the wife will not let me fix my primary problem.Oh well, back to work.  Gravity is what makes flying so much fun! |

I think the true sign of heli addiction is when you wife lets loose on you about you and your helis. This just happened to me and now my heads hanging low. truly bummed.JoJo

Then from the other room..Must be another one of those damn things."how many do you need"????LOL.Just this last one!!!

What kills me is the heli pilots all have their wives show up at some point just to watch sometimes or a fun fly. I look like I'm single. Standing there alone. She just doesn't come. This leaves me thinking I'm in this too deep. Addicted.JoJo

I found it!!!!!12 steps for HAHelicopters Anonymous 12 steps1. We amitted we were powerless over our love of r/c helicopters and that are wife's and kid's lives had become unmanageable.2. Came to believe that a greater and more powerful helicopter could restore us to sanity.3. Made a decision to buy another helicopter and turn the lives of are closes living relatives over to the care of any thing of thier chosing, as long as they do not bother us.4. Made a searching and fearless inventory of all the local hobby shops, on-line web pages and trade magazines.5. Admitted to anyone who would listen and ourselves that the inventory we took in step 4 makes us want more helicopters and there is nothing wrong with that!6.Were entirely ready to buy another helicopter that has a lot of 'character'.7. Humbly asked our significant others to remove money from the bank account.8. Made a list of all the stuff we needed and became willing to spend alot of money to buy it all.9. Made direct purchases from such people wherever possible, except when to do so would cost to much.10. Continued to take an inventory and when we wrong, promptly admitted it and purchased the right inventory.11. Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our fleet of helicopters, praying only for the money to carry that out.12. Having had an awakening as the result of these helicopters, we tried to carry them to the flying field and to practice flying everyday.

Very Good Bravo, Yeah I love to mess with heli's only problem is it's I cant afford batterys, or fuel, much less a second helicopter. So mine sets and collects dust. |

so now we to deal with it.when our women want to go to yoga class three times a day, try stopping them. NOT
when women go on avon sales all day try stopping them. NOTmy last girl argued go play with your lil toys boy.

As the fiancee to an addict I have gained the understanding that once it gets under the skin you just have to support, accept, and try to get involved. I am in the process of simming it up and getting ready to do my first hover. I'm amazed at how excited you can get. Guess it just goes to show you that not all girls are into yoga, avon, and shopping. I would rather spend time at the field any day... If at first you don't succeed... save up for another one... |
