12s 600???
Thinking about going 12s in my 600. looking at the scorpion 4025-630 and a 13 tooth pinion, or one that will give me 2100-2200 HS, and TP 5000mah packs. What I need to know is if anyone is running something like this and is it better to go up a pinion and run the gov, or just run 100% across and use a smaller pinion. Seeing what flight time others are getting would be nice as well.

I run 12S in my 620SE, I use a Tango 45-06 (640kv)
on a 13.333:1 ratio running the gov @ 1800rpm.
My 4000mAh give me 11 mins flight time in the worst case.

IMHO it is better to use the gov so you have a constant HS as the battery discharge.Raptor e620 w/V-bar, Tango 45-06, Phoenix 85HV, TrueRC 12S1P 4000mAh

Its a Trex 600, doing 12s because I have the 5000 6s packs, this is the cheepest way I can go to get away from 6s packs that I just keep destroying with my current setup, just looking for info. from someone that has a setup close to this.

Scorpion 4025-630 with a 13 tooth pinion
Castle HV140
TP 5000mah 30c packs

just looking for tips and maybe gov. settings or some thing I should shoot for in the setup.

12s 5k packs are WAY to big for a 600 that is what everyone uses in 90's, get some 3000mah packs

no, 10s is not enough.

i run 12s 4000mah packs on the 4035-630 on 15t and it is a beautiful thing. CC110HV w/ gov set to 2200 and the packs dont even hit 85°F on an 85°F day.

vbar FTW. took it from beautiful to nirvana.

[edit] FYI, 5000packs do feel a little heavy. but, definitely doesnt ruin the experience. if you have the packs from 6s, i'd say it's a good way to move up to 12s and stop frying your batteries. PM me and i'll send you my castle settings.if it ain't broke, break it.
