Split personalities- custom canopies
Check it out. First, my apologies to Scott at AceHelis for the blurry pics and adding decals to his beautiful paint jobs.

Looks cool flying one color in one direction and another color coming back. Helps with orientation and poor eyesight.

Just ask Scott at AceHelis for a "orientation" paint scheme and I'm sure he'll be glad to duplicate it.

one more noob trick I used and like is, I used the neon orange and sprayed the bottoms of my blades. This helps a ton in making level turns any flybys. Plus it's neat when you throw a big banking turn.

No picks of those blades as they have long ago met their end.

You can spray any thing you want. Will it hold up, That depends. I used foam safe paint ( just cuz I had it) and it worked fine. DO NOT lay heavy coats as it is the propellant the eats stuff up and not so much the actual paint.

Use light coats and repeat until desired color is reached. ( check blade balance after painting, all mine came out close enough but you never know.)

EDIT how do you like that Rave 450, I'm thinking about getting one..

You can PM if you don't want to throw this thread off track.

My version of the same idea, and I agree, two sided paint schemes look neat and help with orientation.

Except now I plate the windscreen in aluminum to make a mirror surface, like in this video.

Which ends up looking kinda like this (but I don't "chrome" any of the other parts)
