Rumor has it that they originally used it for real estate AP, but the lander would leave unsightly burn marks on the driveway or would set wood shake roofs on fire. The real deal killer, though, was that the decibel limit was way over what was specified in the Home Owner's Association's regulations.The day was saved when, coincidentally, XPrize put up another contest. I can think of cheaper ways to levitate a couple fuel cans and a camera 15 feet up in the air. Good effort though, just well, a little over engineered a millon bucks well buy a whole lotta heli!!All jokes aside that was freaking stable for a rocket! |
