Tail belt loosening after flight? Seem to be having this continuing problem with my 450S. After each flight (even hovering) my tail belt is very loose even after being tightened right before. All the screws are snugged down on the tail boom block except for 1 i just noticed is stripped out (plastic boom block). Could this one stripped out hole be causing the problem?I feel like it might be time to replace it with a metal boom block..ThanksNew on the RR. Been lurking a while. T-rex 450 stick banger! |

go the metal v2 block , OR the copterX v2 block, both the same , what i did was file the gap bigger to enable more crush , if you want to get it going right away , i would file the plastic on so the gap is biggerCHANGING THE WORLD ONE HELI AT A TIME |

Or you could wrap a lil black tape around the boom before you slide it in. |

Have to agree, torque tube is the way to go. I thought my friend at work was going to buy mine but Im glad he didnt. Nice not having to mess with belt tightness. I was going to go back to belt just because weight issues but I have that fixed.Got to have my cup of heli in the morning. |

I had the same problem on my V2. The answer is to file down the boom block and the internal spacers in the boom block(the little silver rods the screws go into). It doesn't take much, so don't over do it.

If you have an extra tail servo mount you can put one right after the boom block. That should stop the boom from sliding back. |

Put ONE layer of black tape onto the noom where it inserts into the boom blocks. You may have to seperate the boom blocks to insert the boom, but the boom will NOT move once the block is tightened! |

Thanks for the help guys. Im gonna give that black tape idea a shot and we'll see where it goes.I'll look into the torque tube conversion later. Are there any modifications necessary considering this is an "S" model?New on the RR. Been lurking a while. T-rex 450 stick banger! |
