All the power ratings are all over the joint, it does not always translate into power into the head.

I would just stick the motor in and use it, i was using a 65A ESC on 10S for my logo and it was seeing over 150A spikes (not something the manufactur specs says would work) and with a big heatsink it ran fine.

Work out the average current draw for that motor (some one should have some charts from data logs)

^ yeah makes no sense to me, know one answering my other post on this subject so Il try here.

I also have a Tonic Z20A 980 kv, when I was looking into a Logo 400 I was told it would be no good unless I ran 8s, now Im reading on posts its what guys are useing in there Outrage 550`s runing 8s

I think the specs are 1300 watts. It just so happens the 22t pinion I was running it on my 4s HDX500 will give me 2800 - 3000 on my Trex 500, it says max continuous amps are 40. Anyone shed any light on this donk.

I dont understand why it was fine for a 4s 500 heli, fine for a 8s 500 or even 550 size heli on 8s, but no good for a 6s 500 heli.

Also I took my 500L motor apart for something to do yesterday because it was raining, I put some green loctite on the shaft where the bearing seats, put it back together and the play is completely gone, anyone done this with any success

, Im thinking of throwing it back in for a try but not sure if it will just get loose again in seconds after spool up.

A motor that will run on 4S and 8S will definately work on 6S.

It's just a matter of figuring headspeed and choosing the right pinion.I literally never use the word literally right.

I cant buy my scorpion til thursday, so I might throw in the z20 just for a test, with the 22t pinion the headspeed should be faster than my 500l with the 13t(just under 3000rpm) I maybe even try the 500l again with the loctite on the shaft, if it ever stops raining here.
