What gram scale do you use?
I'm looking at getting a gram scale and just was wondering what everyone is using.

I use a Dillon scale from my reloading stuff. Kind of pricey and it doesn't have a very large capacity but it is awesome for smaller blades and weighing individual parts (and gunpowder )

I found a decent 1/10th gram electronic scale at Fry's for $150, an A&D Weighing PV-200 -- 200 g x 0.1 g -- or 7 oz x 0.005 oz.op-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-thwop-t

Funky Trex, I like your way of thinking. I've been using my RCBS grains scale. Works ok.

Ok, thanks guys. I was looking on Egay and found this.

Considering the price compared to the ones you listed what would be the real difference? A $100 difference is quite a bit. Is the more expensive ones really worth more?

All due respect, but you get what you pay for with instrument-grade scales.

Not when what you're weighing is 138 grams but your scale says 143.

And quite frankly, there's not a $30 scale on the planet that's accurate to 1/100th gram. Even 1/10th gram accuracy is doubtful at that price.

Doubtful -- even to 1/10th. 1/100th? No way.

it just says cc-150 on it,I threw out the box a while ago.its only a litle bit bigger than a credit card, and about as thick as a deck of cards

whatever man,I have no reason to lie about a scale being accurate,we put a 1g weight on it and it read 1g, put a 10g weight on it and it read 10g,I dont have any vibration issues with any of my blades so it must be working.we also weighed some tail blades on his tripple beam that he has the weights for(they came with it) and my scale had the exact same readings,so it is what it is

My 1/10th gram scale -- with a 3" x 4" pad -- will register 2/10ths gram just from the ceiling fan 6 ft above it being on. A 1/100th gram scale will waver due to nothing more than someone gently breathing nearby.

No way on earth is your $30 1/100th gram scale accurate to 1/100th gram.

Let's have the brand and model number.

it just says cc-150
Is this it?

If so, its stated accuracy is only 1/20th gram (not 1/100th), and its price point puts even that claim in question.
"Max capacity is 150g with accuracy to 0.05g."

Let's also be clear that a scale's incremental resolution has little bearing on a scale's accuracy. A cheap scale's calibration will drift just sittin' on the bench.

Again -- you get what you pay for with instrument-grade scales.
