Hey... I just realized we don't use regulator!
Hi guys,

I have a vibe 50 with a regulator for my servo from my 7.4v battery. I have a CopterX 450 with no regulator on tiny tiny tiny (lol)(tower pro 9g) servos from 11.4v battery!!! Is there something I don't understand?

The ESC in your CopterX has a regulator built-in and is powering the RX via the servo lead. If you were actually powering the RX off 11v battery direct then the RX, servos, and everything else plugged into it would fry.

they are called BEC's or Battery Elimination Circuit, they can be built into an ESC or stand alone units, they are eliminating the need to run a seperate RX battery by taking a high input V(from flight batt) and bringing it down to a level which servos like.in your example its taking 12.6V from a fresh battery and sending 5 or 6V(depending on setting)to the electronicsCompass helis Support Team
