Converting an MCX into an MSR?
I'm cheap, and if theres ways to do it, I will. Isn't the receiver the same? Looks like the battery tray is as well. So I was thinking I could pick up some MSR parts, frame, tail motor, head etc... for probably less than 40~ish and put one together. Maybe some minor glitches but this could be cool.
I need one of those to fly in my office. Tried to fly my .90 in there but man is my wife pissed now!

Hummm... I don't know man... something tells me that you are going to need the mSR 5in1 electronics (software and hardware... especially for the tail motor) and servos.

Just seems like it could add up on you... as I am not sure that many mCX parts are re-usable.

If you do it... can you keep us up to speed? It would be cool to follow... good or bad outcome... it is something to see.

Yeah that one just went down the drain. I bought an MSR today. Thing flies like a dream! Really fun outside! I still think this conversion could be done very easily. Its the same reciever, just a different head, battery tray and frame. Go get the motors. The reciever is the expensive part. Still tempting with my mCX however I want to sell it to pay for part of my mSR. Taking offers.I need one of those to fly in my office. Tried to fly my .90 in there but man is my wife pissed now!
