Novarossi Rex 91 HR - 3D New Generation Heli Engine
Dear Novarossi addict, here a video for you, just a bite to make you angrier....
Was raining, A LOT, than light is not one of the best...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-oPYHmEGZ4

The engine was completely re-designed in the last year, new coupling, new crank shaft with Novarossi Turbo effect, and a new, make from Novarossi recently 3 Needles Carburetor 11 mm Bore... for the best of the performance and tuning request. (Note: 3 Needles Carb was designed for the 91 only – don’t fit in the 57, than don’t try)

The REX 91 have same mechanical peculiarity of the 57... Just little bigger and….. ahahahah so POWERFULLY ....

The spec talk they for him... few info, but enough to understand what Novarossi makes
3.6 HP at 16.000 RPM
Weight: 580 gr

Engine works perfectly with any good 91 muffler... the Rex H9 tuned pipe, make faster recover and constant torque curve progression.

The new 3 Needles carburetor have special "Plastic / Ceramic" bushing to thermal insulation...

Euro retail price: 345E
USA retail price: 407$

Available in October.....

Luca,

Is there any difference, other than the 3-needle carb, from this engine and the 91HR3D that I purchased in May of this year? Thanks.

Check this out I was nosing around the Novarossi site and ran accross this. A inflight adjustment set for the 57 and 91 engine's for a carbsmart. I sent off an email asking a bit about it and was told it's gonna be around 15.00. just thought maybe some of you might like to know.

I don't crash... I land with style

Dear Novarossi Addict.
Is time to announce you that the NEW REX 91 HR-3D 3 NEEDLE was released 2 days ago from Novarossi.
After a long design and approve time the 91 finally is available.

Lynx Heli Innovation will get the first REX 91 with the new 3 needle carburetor with dedicated tuned pipe, by next week, than the dealers by end of next week....

This thread will dedicated to him, I will support with my passion and experience like we do for the 57.
Everyone of you is welcome for question and tips.

Friendly

This is absolutely and completely BS. I bought the 3 needle carb a few months ago when it was available from Planet Hobby. You told me in a PM many weeks before then, that the 3-needle carb was in production. And now you say that it is "available" ?

From what I have read here from your posts, I have the impression that the carb that I purchased is some kind of pre-production misfit. It's really starting to annoy me severely. These things aren't cheap, and since I'm not a Novarossi sponsored pilot, I don't think that I should do the testing for the company. It's completely at my expense, and not my responsibility. I find this practice UNSAT (unsatisfactory).

On the other hand, I really like my HR913D. Honestly, I haven't even run the 3-needle carb yet. I have it mounted in a Tempest FAI. I will fly it soon, though. But my problem is with all of this talk about the "new" 3-needle carb, I'm not so sure that I should return it (if that's possible) and try for a new one. Is this "new" carb really "new"? If it is then I have a major problem with that. I seriously doubt that the nice folks at Planet hobby will forgive YOUR mistake and replace my inferior carb.

Don't get me wrong. I'm not bashing Novarossi. You guys have an outstanding history for excellence, and I applaud it. I just wish that there would be a stable stream of production. This idea of releasing a "new" something every week is UNSAT, and does not represent the company well.

The bottom line: Luca, does my .91 3-needle carb from 2 months ago need to go in the garbage? Do I need the "new" one? If I need a new one, please PM me the address where I can send the "outdated" one to, because I damn sure am not paying for a "new" carb. You released it, you can damn well support it.

Unfortunatlely my friend you buy the wrong one . I told you many time, the one you buy was a prototipe that don't was confirmed by us, and we don't understand why was sale.
My reccomandation is contact your dealer and ask to replace it.
The good one is the one that come out now.
I am sure that you dealer will take care of you exchanging it under warrenty.

Let em know if you need my support.

Note: in these 2 video I ask Lukas to push the pitch over the limit to try kill the engine, the fly is maybe not spectacular but was necessary test the power and the recover speed.
