Stock Motor for 450Pro
I will buy the 450Pro combo soon. I know there are two versions of stock motors included in the kit. The old one is black and the new one is silver. Are there any big different in preformance in terms of power, temp., durability etc.??

The newer M version is better. It runs a lot cooler than the SP.

Forget the stock motor and get a Scorpion 2221-6 with an 11t pinion and hang on for the ride of your life...Gary

Thanks. Can I use the stock ESC for Scorpion 2221-6? How about the headspeed under this setup? (11T)

Not sure about the stock ESC since I am using a Jazz 40. If you run an external BEC like the CC BEC, the ESC won't have to work as hard and should stay cooler. The CC BEC is adjustable from 4.8v - 9.0v and up to 10A output. I use the CC BEC in my 450 Pro and have it set for 5.8v and it not only allowed my Jazz 40 to run a few degrees cooler, but sped up my cyclic servos (HS-5065's).

I would definitely try it out.

According the headspeed calculator from Readyheli, with my set up, the headspeed is in the 3400-3500 rom range. It definitely hauls butt and is very fast (the cyclics and in FFF).
