New Vibe 50 Landing Gear?? I just received the order for Landing Gear from Helidirect. The bag says part #JRP961445 "v2" instead of 961123, and the skid pipes are black!! Man...black looks cool, but I don't know if it's gonna be as easy to see in the air as silver ones (I still rely on the skid's pipes for orientation in side-in sometimes). Has anyone else tried the new version of Vibe 50 landing gear? |

Yeah, you definitely have to complete your heli with the black skid pipes, Gorgin. I'm sure it'll look really cool on your already-black heli. hehehe. I will try to take a pic of it tonight. It seems that the new (version-2) landing gear does not have any picture floating on the web at all if you google-up the new product #. I'll call Helidirect at lunch today to see if it's the only pipe color they got or may be they can exchange for me, since their advertising picture still shows the older version set. |

So are the Vibe skids now only available in black? I use them on other helis and need white skids for orientation. |

That is if you buy the whole set. You can buy the skid and the pipes separately and choose the silver one. Seems like every website is out-of-stock for the original landing gear set. I called Helidirect and they confirmed that they no longer carry the older set and this "version 2" is what they now & will have. It's slightly more expensive to buy skid and pipes separately though . |

Why doesent JR fix the humm instead of designing different skids . No one has had problems with the skids to my knowledge.JohnNever loose airspeed, altitude and ideas all at the same time. |

Humm is mostly only a tail rotor blade lenght problem. You have to stick with small TR blades on the Vibe 50 ( Raptor 50 87mm plastic blades by example) because of the size of hub and grips.I have a JRAirskipper 50 V2 (wich is a belt driven Vibe 50) and i use 92mm TR blades but the hub is much smaller). With small blades the tail wasn't holding at all. |

Why doesent JR fix the humm instead of designing different skids. No one has had problems with the skids to my knowledge. JR cant fix the Humm, YOU have to fix it. The humming is 100% user corrected. I have over 400 flights on mine with 3 crashes and I have had the engine out too many times. I have had a hum twice, once from a engine that came out of alignment and once from a bastard set of radix 92mm tail blades. Both easy fixes. I dont have anything special done with my Vibe, one TT bearing (not wraped in tape either), it is built stock. There is nothing wrong with the helicopter. |

You can still get the original Skids(61123) the black ones are an optional part. You can also get lower ones Nothing holds better than a cross threaded bolt. |

For some not very nice commercial reasons between JR and K&S, the Vibe helis are forbidden in Japan. I had a vibe 50 rcently robbed at my home. Now i have an Airskipper 50 V2. I'm very satisfied by this heli. Belt driven tail giving me no trouble at all. Of course the Vibe torque tube is a more efficient solution. But the Airskipper is just a belt driven Vibe 50 with a lot of small improvements. 3 versions. Standard, carbon frame (150g lighter) and pro, full carbon and metal with Vibe type canopy. |
