Also it is good to see congress confirm that neither the first ammendment or the truth is allowed on the floor of the House.
You do have to wonder, if by silencing REPRESENTATIVES, if you are not tacitly silencing CONSTITUENTS.

BUT, REPRESENTATIVES have to be adults about how they dissent on political issues.

I can see how there is no right answer here.

I wonder how many outbursts there were in history, and how bad they were. There HAS to be a time in history when someone at least Booed during an address. This is simply the first ADMONISHMENT.
My understanding from the media is that outbursts are few and far between. Almost unheard of as it is considered hallowed ground.
Wilson screwed up and paid for it. I think we can move on now. I wasn't aware that support for/against him was so biased.
And got paid for it too. He's raised over 2 mil in campaign contributions after it was revealed that the dem challenger for the seat had raised over a mil in 24hrs.
That's too bad as you would hope that civility would have it's place in politics and that everyone would agree what is or isn't appropriate.
Agreed.
My problem with the democratic party is they think government is the answer to things. It's a fundamental difference between the repulicans and democrats. Democrats seem to think that when there is a social problem that government must step in and fix it.
My problem with the Republican party is .... ah never mind.....

Gotta go, Clinton is going to be on Daily Show, should be good.
Repo man's got all day and all night! Lets go get a drink!

Now that the Constitution has been mentioned in context with the Judicial branch I will point out a huge problem I have with the liberals. The Constitution and the amendments were debated extensively and written very carefully. The reason, they had ONE meaning and ONLY one meaning intended, and so they debated where commas would be placed. Moving a comma can change the entire meaning of a statement, and they had just one meaning in mind. Otherwise just write down a bunch of words and go fishing. The serious error on the part of the liberals is insisting the Constitution is a "living document" to be interpreted in any way convenient. This is false, it is a living document only in the context the framers intended: debated and ratified amendments. It is the judicial branch now doing the greatest damage to freedom and to our future, fabricating "rights" that are not in the Constitution, and twisting things around to mean whatever they need at this particular moment.
