Mixing different brands of fuel ? I have 15% green of one manufacturer and 12% red of another and I want to mix them. I am guessing if I mix equal volumes, I will obtain 13.5% fuel. Is there anything wrong in dong this ?

There's a high probability, that both manufacturers use different sorts of oil, which could have a negative impact on each other, leaving the engine without sufficient lubrication. If you want to switch brands, just use all of one brand, leave nothing of the old brand in the tank or in a canister, then switch to the new brand. Be prepared to change the glow plug directly or shortly after. And have an eye on the carb settings.Regards, Thilo |

I have no reason for it, just pure experience. Over the last 10 years or so I used about 4 different fuel brands. Anytime I switched brands, the glow plugs of all helis failed after one to three tanks.Thilo |
