Ikarus has one coming out. Not sure how good it is, but it is for the Mac. Here is a link with the specs. Good luck. Chuck

***************UPDATE***************

I have posted at length on using Phoenix and VMware Fusion and also using BootCamp to simply boot XP or Vista. I use XP SP3.

I installed Snow Leopard the day it came out. To make a long story short I am going to get right to the point.

Phoenix will NOT run under VMware Fusion with Snow Leopard as the overall operating system.

Fusion works perfectly fine and all. Phoenix launches perfectly fine and is perfectly stable. You can not get over 5FPS now. I have discussed this with tech support at VMware and it is a known issue. The problem is Apple included new video card drivers with Snow Leopard and it is not compatible with the Direct X rendering engine VMware is currently using. You can open dashboard and with Phoenix running the processors are only idling rather than being ramped up like normal. VMware knows about this and is working to correct it. VMware's Direct X gaming engine is incompatible with the video card drivers that are with Snow Leopard. The tech told me there should be a fix pretty soon. VMware knew about this issue before the launch of SL. Apple changed the video card drivers in the last revision before going to production with it.

Bottom line is no game that needs Direct X support under Fusion works right now with Snow Leopard.

Solution: Bootcamp of course still works perfectly fine. VMware will soon update Fusion and we can go back to playing Phoenix both ways.

Thanks for the warning, Futura. Lucky for me, I was just going to update to SL today, but the DVD I bought was damaged and wouldn't work, so I need to go exchange it at the Apple store. After seeing your post I'm glad I wasn't able to update, since I use Phoenix under Fusion occasionally.

I'm using Heli-X on Mac OS X. It works on Mac, Linux, Windows. It supports German, English, French languages (their website has German and English icons to see more info.) It's not the top-shelf of graphics out there, but it's pretty good and has been very useful for me. Lots of different heli models, high-res photographic scenes. It has some special training modes to help you get familiar with a new hovering orientation, and some game props like boxes to land on, poles to slalom, and wind-blown balloons to pop. It has the usual controls for wind turbulence, camera motion, lighting and super-realtime or slowmo-realtime.[ e d @ h a l l e y . c c ]

mine has another problem, running snow leopard and windows 7, the usb interface simply cannot be detected by phoenix. every other usb item like thumbdrives work normally. my version of fusion is 2.0.6 which was released just a few days back. i'm wondering if this new version solves the problems of the graphics.Raptor 50V2

+1 on using Bootcamp. Running both Phoenix and RF and they're running great. That's the best way to use the best sims and not deal with issues that come with lesser-quality sims and/or Fusion, Parallels, etc.Jeff
