It Could be worse...you got lucky You should be happy that nothing went through the disc...here's what Happens when a 5s lipo decides to EXIT the heli and go through the Disc in flight..yeah...pretty much DESTROYS everything...lol....Look at the first pic and you'll see there are only 3 cells left in that pack...the other 2 cells landed about 100 yards away from these 3 ...and it took me a long time to find them

TmMugen,
I feel ya cause I kinda did had the same thing happen but I forgot to put all my straps on the battery after working on the motor.I went inverted about 6ft or so from the deck and had no power ,the battery fell out and pulled the power wire right out of the RX .All I could do was watch my poor heli hit the ground .Other than taking out just 1 skid strut, bent the boom a little, bent the flybar rod a tiny bit (bent it back haha),lost 1 link but what made me wad was it took out both of my perfect Radix .
I learned a lesson from that and put on 2 straps, velcroed the battery to the frame and put a big zip tie around it.I bet I could run it into a wall and the battery won't come off now haha.
Very sorry about the crash,we just gotta make sure to strap the crap out of the batterys .600LE,OS55,OS PowerBoost pipe,Align 610's,Spartan |

just be glad the damage is limited to the heli. as you can imagine, things can go REALLY bad when you lose radio control.Citizen #830 |

MY CRASH Mine was the result of flying piros TOO fast without a canopy I was doing some FAST piro flips without a canopy and the 2 Velcro straps I had holding the pack on the front both broke...and the pack went flying through the disc on the inverted part of the piro flip...The REAL kicker was that was the 1ST flight with those new Edge blades....Cost me 90$ for exactly 4 minutes of flight time with them....LOL...Luckily for me the electronics survived though...so it wasn't a total wash.. |

The REAL kicker was that was the 1ST flight with those new Edge blades....Cost me 90$ for exactly 4 minutes of flight time with them That's the part I dislike the most , trashing a fresh set of blades . That's just part of the game we play . If you're not living on the edge you're just taking up space ! |

Hard landing (well some would call it a crash) and the battery flew out and contacted the still moving blade.
.
. I think about the hereafter. I go somewhere to get something, then wonder what I'm here after ? |

That's cool Gyrofreak:) I have mashed many a lipo into the disc and have never had one flame out on me Even after this latest crash where the lipo was literally cut in 2 pieces...I then tried smashing what was left on the pavement in hopes to see it flame out...but it never happened so I gave them a salt bath to neutralize them...not a very spectacular way to watch a lipo go out....I prefer the Flameout myself |

This makes me feel a little better! I totaled a T600 the same way. I was going to pull out before it hit. Afterwards I found out it was the RX battery, I saw fall out of the heli at about 200 feet |
