Do I have the old or new swash plate?
I seen people talking about the "old and new" swash plates, how do I know if mine is the newer or older one ?I was checking out a buddys 600 and his is gray looking, flat on top with no lettering on it,mine is gray with lettering/writing on the top with a lip.

I wonder why they put that lip on the top .I can't get more than + 12 1/2 degrees of pitch before binding on that top lip.If I go to + 13 degrees with 8 degrees of cyclic, the 2 pins comming out of the head hits that lip on the swash plate .My buddy can get + 13 1/2 degrees of pitch with the older swash, its kinda screwed up how they made the new swash plate .Maybe i'll take a degree of cyclic out so I can add another degree of pitch or just say screw it and get the Quick UK swash.
Thanks for the reply .

I grinded my headblock pins down a little so I could get more pitch range with the newer swash.

Yup, just grind the pins down a little and/or get the Quick UK swash which is way better then the newer Align swash anyways.

Mine is setup somewhere between 13-14 degrees. Just keep an eye on the washout. Sometimes my swash would drop too far and come out of the headblock pins when it was turned off. It doesn't move far enough to come out when it is turned on so I just put a piece of fuel tubing around the main shaft below the swash to prevent it from dropping too far when it is turned off.

Sweet,i'll do this for sure tomorrow night. Thanks for the advice on putting fuel tubing around the main shaft below the swash .I have short fingers/thumbs so its kind of a pain in the butt moving the sticks to get the right amount of pitch I want on some moves.Right now im maybe useing 11 degrees max of the 12 1/2 I have so 13 1/2-14 degrees should put me where I want, around 12 1/2 degrees. Thanks once more .600LE,OS55,OS PowerBoost pipe,Align 610's,Spartan

and if you replace the standard sf arms with a set of metal washout arms , you`ll get even more pitch
