pitch problem
this might be in the wrong section but here it goes. I have been building a exi 450 limited edition heli and I just got the motor in the mail today and got it installed tonight. so I went to set the heli up and I set the pitch so that the main rotors are at 0 degrees pitch at mid stick but when I go to full stick I would like 10 degrees of pitch and I only get like 5 degrees. can any of you guys help me out and tell me what might be going on with it. any help would be great thanks.

Next questions:

What are your pitch curve settings?
What are your swash settings?
At mid-stick, is everything lined up like this, including level swash?

On the RDx8000 go under Pitch Channel and play with EPA .. you may already know that.

with stick above 50% raise the EPA until pitch, then the other way.

I have the telebee gr302-ad head lock gyro. I have read the instructions that came with it but they are a bit confusing. so could you guys walk my through setting up the gyro and what servo will work with this gyro? thanks for all your help.esky belt cp 450, just built exi 450 pro, trext 500esp, trex 600esp

That gyro work well with every servo.
Probably Servo is plug in wrong way? The light would blink if it doesn't get signal from rx, light goes solid when its getting signal from rx.

Unplug the gyro from ch 4 of the rx. Plug in a known good servo to that channel and see if it will move correctly in both directions.

If it does, plug the installed rudder servo into ch 4 and check it.

Check the limit adjustment on the gyro if it has one.

If it all checks out so far, I'd suspect the gyro.

You might want to check for binding in the rudder linkage that may be stopping the servo from getting full travel.

Make sure your ch 4 servo endpoints are both at 100% and your rudder dual rates (if applicable) are set to 100%.

checked my dual rate and my end points both were set to 100% I tried the servo again and I guess it does move in both directions it just doesn't move very far in both directions. So I will go out and try to hover it in the morning and see what takes off. and see If I can get the tail setup. thanks for all you guys help. I'm sure I will need some more, as I still have a lot to learn.esky belt cp 450, just built exi 450 pro, trext 500esp, trex 600esp

If the servo doesn't move far with it attached to the gyro, your gain may be too low if you're in rate mode. Try upping the rate gain to see if it gets better throw.A soul in tension is learning to fly

guys I'm on the edge of just throwing in the towel and giving up lately helis just are not fun any more. and nothing i do makes things any better I can't get the tail setup on my exi heli and nothing makes any difference. how do you set up the telebee gyro whn using a 2.4ghz radio system. cause I have tried moving the servo on the tail boom, adjusting the knobs on the gyro, adjusting the trim and the gryo with the tx and nothing helps. and this is just not fun anymore. it's just pissing me off.esky belt cp 450, just built exi 450 pro, trext 500esp, trex 600esp

These are old but they may help. Bear with the stuff you already know; there may be something in these you can use, especially in the second one.

What gyros/servos do you have? Buy used GY401 - cheapest out of good gyros and be done with it and get some digital servo.
