How far should it be for a range check?
I did a range check with my DX7 and a AR7000 RX and it started to loose signal at 112 feet away from the heli when I faced the opposite direction (meaning the tx was not pointing at the heli). Is it good enough?

Were you holding in the button the back of the radio at 112 feet?Life is tough, it's tougher if you're stupid

I just tried to walk out of range with my DX7 and AR7000 a couple of day ago. I got to 250 feet with the bind button pressed on the back of the transmitter and I still had good signal. I would have gone further but a corn field got in my way.

I had the transmitter pointing at the heli while I walked backwards.

Yes I was pressing the bind button and not pointing the TX to the heli meaning my body was blocking the wave signals. I could have gone farther if I hadn't blocked the signals.Long Nguyen

That is fine. The guide is 30 paces as a minimum with the button pressed in.## Inteligence is knowing a tomato is a fruit...Common sense is not putting it in a fruit salad
