Flybarless....Use V-Bar or New Axiom
Am getting the itch to make one of my spare K3D airframes into a FBL machine. This will be my first FBL and I seem to hung on weather to pick up the tried and true V-bar (used) or the new Axiom, the price would be about the same. I am a sport flier not a 3D hotdogger

Since I have never done one before I am leaning towards finding the right deal on a v-bar. On the other hand its cool to pick up whatever is new and hot.

Lets here your opinions, and I know you all got one

I have talked to Mike

I was wanting to know if the general public would roll the dice on Mike's new product or go with a used tried and true v bar

Should have made it a poll if that was the case. I would be interested in the results.

we don't have a poll feature on RR...
you just have to read the posts...

someone needs to let mark know, that polls would be nice, maybe I will later.

Edit: on second thought no polls unless they go in there own section, they seem to clutter up a place.

I thought that it did sorry still wish I could find out on a larger scale. Sure seems to me if it isn't popular then it must not work but then how could anything become popular?

If I had to guess I would say there is more information on the V-Stabi but support can be had from Inertia on a more personalized basis. I also look at the dealers, Inertia is working with more than one so I feel that they can win in the customer service side. I like to work with dealers that know what they are talking about and also have a big 2x4 to get through my thick skull what they are saying.....

Naked FBl
You Guys are Nuts flying without a stab unit

I commend you on flying that way...but I don't possibly see how you can get the machine to do hard core piro moves without some sort of stabilization unit?

Hey...I've never tried it...but I sure would love to see some piro flips, tic tocs and piro funnels done without an electronic stab unit onboard...

BTW....Flybarless systems are so plentiful these days that its almost getting to the point where this is like asking someone what their favorite gyro is...Many choices and most opinions are based on limited experience ...I think there are quite a few good options these days though...and the choices are becoming more and more plentiful by the week...

Well I'm biased but as soon as Mike gets some in I'll be doing my first FBL with the Axiom.
the price is great and the videos of its performance are very good.

the 860 is a very solid gyro and if the Axiom should be more of the same!

Things are gonna heat up very shortly in the FBL Gyro war.

lots of companies throwing their hats in the ring.

You're right.
When the first Peizeo crystal gyros came out; you would have thought they were made of gold or diamond crystals, because of the outrageous prices (ie. the first TI-30 (LED) calculators)...we'll see the prices go down and the quality of them go up (at least those that care about their reputations, that is)

LoL anthony
JAG72 is the ONE that helped make my decision to go FBL.
At the time due to untimely circumstances. I couldn't afford the stab system so I decided to experiment FBL stab free and was more than pleased with the results. I'm still learning but seem to get better everytime I fly.
Anthony, you gave me a new goal to achieve. Stab free piro funnels.
