Spectra Tail glitch not wag, Flying my spectra, i cant get the tail to stop "glitching" its not wag. I removed the gyro foam tape and put Zeal under it. Made a hudge difference. still does it alittle, not as smooth as a nitro. Any Ideas? Im running(hear it comes) a 401 and 9253. I dont think that could be the problem. The motor sounds smooth, not burbleling or anything. Eairly on in its life with me I did have a chicken dance, but after rebuild runs fine. Im also running a carbon tail shaft, could that viberation cause gyro trouble? Mike"always feel thankful..... never entitled" |

Mike,, be carefull with the 9253 servo on a gasser,, You would be better off with a 9254,, Check your servo temp after a flight, make sure it's not heating up, the 9253 will give up in flight if your heli is not super smooth, it can't take the vibes of a gasser very well,, Ask me how I know... I just toasted a 9254 on my Predator gasser. The tail never felt right. I just put in a Logictech 6100 combo so we will see what happens now. I was also told the 9254 is not great for gassers. One mile of road will take you one mile. One mile of runway will take you anywhere in the world. |

heres how it went down, had the canopy on, found the bent feather shaft on the tail, fixed it, flew it, never looked under the canopy. The clutch was getting worse, so I pulled the canopy and was shocked, the zeal let loose and the sensor was hanging. fixed the clutch, going to check runout on the crank, and try again."always feel thankful..... never entitled" |

i have a 601 and 9251 on it now Good,, That's what I run on my gassers now,,,I was also told the 9254 is not great for gassers. Well to tell you the truth, Helizrule, I ran a 9254 for about 4 years without any problems, but it started getting hot after each run, so I just replaced the gyro, and servo combo to the 601/9251, and never looked back,, XGM/VGMJohn Crotts www.soonerhelicamproductions.com |

Maybe it was just a bad servo to start with. I have never had one do this before. I'll see what happens in time. One mile of road will take you one mile. One mile of runway will take you anywhere in the world. |

should i wash the surface. Yep, with soap, and water, then rinse,, let dry complety, and your ready to stick again,, XGM/VGMMaybe it was just a bad servo to start with. I have never had one do this before. I'll see what happens in time. Could be, Helizrule, I did start out with the 9253, and it had a hard time compensating for torque, and it would get hot, and not hold at all when I started flying backwards, it would just let go, I then switched to the 9254, and it worked great for several years, but then it started getting hot, or wore out, so I had a 601/9251 laying around, and stuck it in there, and I've never looked back, Awesome combo..
