Sick and Tired of Specktrum Sensor! Keeps breaking..!!
I am sure there are a lot out there having the same problem ever when you upgraded to the aluminium bracket. The plastic part holding the sensor still breaks..!!

I am so freaking mad..!! This is my fifth sensor going bad..!! And it is not cheap..!! Having to freight in from USA to Singapore cost me US$35..!!

Can Specktrum do something about this..??

Sorry about your troubles. I'm just curious as to where they are breaking. Can you post a picture? I have been using the same sensor for over 150 flights with no signs of fatigue. Mounted in my 700N with OS91HZ.

I gave up on the Spektrum sensors not long after trying them. I was lured in by the notion of easy mounting, but then realized the sensors are not the best quality control. I had two go bad and another DOA out of the bag. Gave up and went back to magnets and standard sensors which have been way more reliable for me, albeit a lot more work to install.

We have solved this issue by coming out with our own sensor. We now offer the whole thing as well as replacement parts. It is fully CNC machined T-6 aluminum. We also offer a 30% crash guard if you find a way to break it as well as free shipping on orders of $50 or more. They can be found at our site. http://www.alumafx.com/webstore/

The signal output is shorted to ground when the crank pin passes over the sensor. This is the same as the Spektrum sensor and works with most governors. We also have an adapter for governors that require a positive output such as the GV-1. This should cover just about everything out there however I am unsure what input that particular governor requires.

Mine broke off the first time I mounted it. But I made an aluminum bracket of my own using the broken bracket as a template,

I have not had any issues with the stock sensors, roughly 250 flights and no issues.

I did order the AlumaFX mounts but have not used them yet.

I was told that the latest sensors now have a new fiber filled plastic material that won't break. Seems like this is it..!!

These are now black rather than clear for the initial.
