canon sx1 is

any of you guys try this camera?
ive just started messing around with it and like it so far
but want to find a trigger solution for it instead of a servo so was wondering if anyone was using it and what they use for the shutter control.

miniplug trigger

Hi, I use to shot with a G10, this camera use a miniplug remote trigger so I only have to close the circuit, the camera will focus and shot.
surfing the web i fount that maybe your camera use a miniplug trigger.

I use a micro servo with a micro switch inside an "electronics box" where I put the receiver, battery, servo triger with miroswitch, other circuits

Yes I am using this camera. It seems to work good for photography. I too was looking for a shutter solution and after much research I just used a servo. I was considering mounting the included remote with a servo instead of putting the servo on the camera but never tried it. I was excited to get this cam because of the ability to to HD video. The videos came out really clear but looked wavy. I thought it was the image stabilation but later found out that CMOS image sensors don't deal with fast movement and vibration well. I wish it was a tad lighter.

ya its a bit crazy that it is heavier then the rebel that for sure
im using an askman underslung mount and found the waviness was not noticeable when i was in the air as opposed to taking off
I just bought gentled shutter control and zoom control to try out so as soon as it arrives ill post up if it worked or not.
side note it should work for stop/start and zoom in movie mode too (if it works at all)

I am using selfmade tiny IR transmitter solution.. I like it, however I have to set the camera's shutter to remote everytime I power up the camera..

I am planning to design a(nother tiny) control over USB jack circuit, than I can have more control of it..
