Hello all:

Want to check if there is such stuff? And what is the difference?

Hello all:

Want to check if there is such stuff? And what is the difference?
Apart from the HS, you can also add up to two (MPDX-1) to this receiver for a total of 26 proportional channels.

Start reading post #37
http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_8.../tm.htm#8771486

With the R6008HS and the R608FS, Data port is just for factory use only.
With the R6014HS, you can add a device (MPDX-1) that you can get up to 26 channels.

MPDX-1 application(R6014HS
only)
When to use the MPDX-1, please prepare the
exclusive short-plug shown below.
Short-plug
(sold separately)
Please insert the short-plug to R6014HS's
"DATA" port.
Short-plug
CH11 and CH12 are valid to use of MPDX-1.
Other channels can not use the MPDX-1.
• When not to use the MPDX-1, do not plug the
short-plug to the "DATA" port.
• Please note that when the short-plug is plugged
to the "DATA" port, both CH11 and CH12 become
acceptable for MPDX-1. CH11 or CH12 can not
separately set as the "MPDX-1-ready-output."

Regards,
Doug.

I thought the older version is already 2048 resolution? Is the new ones faster?I am a noob flyer from Singapore! Team Nitro Magic

both versions are 2048 resolution but the new HS version has reduced latency.

Hope you're not confused between resolution and latency

Sorry, but latency is not reduced, nor is resolution improved in the R6014HS receiver as opposed to the R6014FS receiver. The "HS" receiver sends signals to the servos at closer intervals. This allows digital servos to come up to full power faster and achieve their full h olding power sooner. It does not make them more precise or faster, nor improves response time from when you move the stick until the servo moves (latency). It just allows digital servos to achieve their full potential.

The faster frame rates affect channels 1-6 only.

Has Futaba fixed the lock-out due to heat issues with the HS versions? I was told by a LHS that the HS versions don't lockup due to heat and that I can send back my 6014's and 608's to have them updated. Any truth to this? thanks

So why do Futaba quote 14ms latency in standard mode and 7ms in HS mode? I can certainly tell the difference between my R6014FS and R6008HS, latency is definitely lower, although this is using a 10CG, doesn't the 14MZ support HS mode?

Latency is not what is quoted in the ads. It is the frame rate, which is how often the servo gets updated. Higher frame rates help digital servos reach their max holding power faster and allow them to hold it better.

The HS mode is in the receiver, and has nothing to do with the transmitter. If you have a transmitter that will operate your HS receiver, then you have HS mode available.

So the tests that JKos has done in the long running thread where he measures actual latency and show that latency with HS receivers is less than the standard FS receivers is wrong?Steve -Trex 700N, Trex 600N, Raptor 550E, 450SE, Mini Titan, Logo 5003D, Beam E4

Yes, there has been heat issues in the past but the reports I heard of were in giant scale airplanes where the receiver was mounted to the canopy floor and the aircraft was flown in places like Arizona in the summer time. I don't recall the exact temp but a search should bring up that info.

I understand the later receivers have fixed that issue. FWIW I have 5 of the early receivers and I have not once had a problem flying my helis here in Florida.
