I unhooked the multigov yesturday and went out side and tried it and no more glitch in the throttle. I talked to Bob at Aerospire for a while last night and he thinks i might have had it programed wrong. So what we did was we reprogrammed the new multigov i got for my raptor50 and he thinks it sounds right and he wants me to try it before we move to the gasser. He said a few settings may need to be changed to run it on a gasser. I know one thing is for sure the clutch has a problem, when i landed my gasser and me like a dummy went over and put my finger on the bell it just about to the meat off it was so hot,it had black dust everywhere. Does anyone have a extra liner they would sell me?

Thanks for all the help on the motor removal

If you send it to Bob at MA, he will replace it for a good price. But since your clutch bell in brand new, they should just replace it for free under warranty.Avant RC

I tried that already but Bob said everything was packed and on its way to MT. He said i was stuck it could be a month before they get everything ready to sale or replace. I go from on turd to another. I have to have the liner or i will have to wait a long time. As if i have nor already waited a long time.

I flew my Raptor 50 with the new multigov on it a lunch time and it worked almost perfect. It over revs just a little when unloading the head. So it looks like i had it wrong on my gasser too. Talk at you later i got to get back to work.

Thanks

You can probably buy another liner from Ron's Heliproz and glue it in yourself.Avant RC

jrock your right but i should not have to buy any thing Bob Bice should call heliproz and get them to send me one free of charge. It's not my fault the clutch was bad from the get go,but now it's going to cost me a lot of time and agravation to put a new liner in. I never did get the one working right on the bat. If it wasn't for hell they could not be heaven. Thanks for you in put.

Thanks

If the liner isn’t damaged you could use it again and pack it out, warm the bell up and the glue will soften enough to get the liner out in one without damage, then make another liner out of a Red-Bull can and glue them both back in using the shoe with a wrap of tape round it and pressed in to set the gap and centre everything while it sets.I only like to fly gassed up

I'm actually surprised your liner is bad
I guess things can happen but I've never seen a clutch from Minair that doesn't enguage or has a bad liner.

What is the issue really? Is the liner missing from it? I mean I'm trying to understand it. As if its there and not missing when what's the scoop, is it really thin or what? Usually they thin out when you burn them up, but a new liner is X thickness from day 1 so unless there was grease in there causing your issue I'm not sure I understand what caused your issue.

If there is grease in the clutch bell its going to slip even with a new liner. But clean it up good and it will be back as good as new.

WAIT. I got a good one for you. IS IT POSSIBLE when you put the head on you MISSED the hole in the mainshaft with the pin going over it instead of through it and the head is only held by the two screws that clamp down and is perhaps slipping on the main shaft? Just a question most likely no but you have to think of all the possibilities as I'm still confused why you need to replace your liner from a new kit that you never crashed or had a prolonged hot start.

Well Raja if you could call me i can tell you in person. I'm sure i put everything together right i hav to rev he carb up to about half thr or more to get the blade to engauge I liffted it off the ground today and theres black stuff everywhere and the bell is very hot. I'm going to take the clutch out and measure it Bob said i should have about .016 thou clearance around the shoe. I have the worst luck in the world if theres a problem with something i will get it. I hooked the multigov bak up today a reprogrammed it and it worked like it was suppose to i had no glitches . I must have programmed it wrong some how the other day. I'm going to tune in the motor with the gov turned off i just wanted to see if it would glitch. I talked to Bob Li last night and he walked me thru the setup and i flew it and it worked perfect. He walked me thru the gasser multigov which he has never done and it worked also. The oly thing i can say is it flew very smooth with almost no vibration. I put the big servo wheel on the rudder servo and that seams to fix my drift problem. If you would Raja call me i have a few questions for you.

Thanks for all your help guys

Yes it is a drink in a wafer thin can that you can cut with a modeller’s knife, I use it to line the bell out then fit the liner.

Ivan,
If you want to send me your clutch bell and clutch, I'll install one of my "custom made" liners for you, machined to the proper clearance....
