The other 5 flights I put between 1300-1500 in them after 3.5-4 minute flights.
I put 1750-1800mAh in my 30C Rhino packs which equates to a 4 minute flight plus spoolup. Do these Hyperion packs somehow hold more charge?

I'm running the stock align motor and your using the 6 motor. That could be why your putting more mah back in your packs. Unless my triton charger is not giving me an acurate reading or something. I set the timmer and spool up on the ground for at least 15 seconds to allow the slow start on the jazz to kick in.

WOW! saw Gary's pro fly today and I'm hooked. The power that motor puts out is just crazy. I thought the stock motor was crazy enough but after today the Scorpion just makes the stock motor look like a baby. Decided to put in my Scorpion 6 that I had laying around and now I'm going to buy 2 more hyperion packs

Tony,

I told ya my 450 Pro was insane with Scorpion -6/11t pinion and the Hyperion 35C packs. I just knew that you wouldn't be able to "wait until I crash...blah blah blah" LOL

Now you will be able to see what you've been missing...muahahahaha

I'm running the -6 with a 12T pinion and I'm lucky to get 4 minutes out of a 2200mAh pack, but it's a very fast 4 minutes. I used to run the -6 with a 11T and I would get about 5 minutes.Avant RC

Still breaking in my new packs so I have my timer set for 3:30. I did forget to hit the timer once and flew for at least 4:30. The power is insane with the -6, 11t pinion, and Hyperion 35C packs. I can easily out climb a 50 or 90 nitro.Gary

It's good to hear that others are having good success with the Hyperion packs!

I sure love mine and won't even consider any of the other packs currently on the market.

Brian,

I agree. It's really hard to find a better value out there right now.

It's really tough to talk sense into all these kids that just go for the hobbycity packs that are a cheaper up front investment.Brian

Brain I agree. For a moment I was thinking about picking up some hobbycity packs for cheap but then I decided not to an ordered 2 more hyperion packs. So now I have 4 hyperions packs The HC packs are just not worth it, if your flying hard. They can't handle the high amp demands for us 3D flyers. Some just don't realize how a good quality pack can make a difference. I mean if someone is just learning how to fly or just need more flight time pratacing orientation than the HC packs will be well worth the money

Brian,

I actually have 2 new Turnigy 25C 2200 mah packs from HC. I originally bought them to use in my new Align Starter, but since my Pro came with some batteries I decided to use them HC packs for my pro.

While the power is good, the battery gets about 15-20 (120-130 degrees F) degrees hotter than the Hyperion 35C's after a good 3:30-4:00 flight. While they claim a 2C charge rate, I still only charge at 1C. Only time will tell how long these HC packs will hold up once I really start punishing them.
