you will never get that amount of money for this setup now. check the classifieds and see. you might just want to keep it.

serious tail wag
ok so i tried changeing in the gyro menu from gyro to f.mode, i still have a serious wag in idleup even with the gain all the way down to 25%.

im now wondering if the tail part`s themselve`s could have to much slop on them?
the thing is ive had a few other gyro`s and never had one wag in idleup if it didnt wag in normal flight mode.

does anyone know why this is an issue now? seriously guy`s this isnt cool.
ive never had this happen before, and i use idleup ALOT.
crash`s come easy patience`s doesnt

i have this gyro and really hated it at first, alot of serious wagging issues until i got my engine tuned right and they went away. very solid gyro now and it was all caused by a poorly tuned engine. try tuning the engine either leaner or richer, mine needed to be leaned.

How much of a Headspeed rpm change is it between normal mode and idle up?

Your gain is probably ok in normal mode. But as soon as you go to idle up, your headspeed ramps up and now your gain is too high.

Not sure if you can do different gyro gains for each flight mode in a DX6i.

As your headspeed goes up you need a lower gain I believe.

Try lowering your gain even more. I know I know seems odd but for my 30 size electric that uses the JR770 gyro my gain in the radio is like 18% (DX7).

When I was first setting it up I was keeping the gain around 40% trying to get rid of this high speed wag. I couldn't believe I had to go to a lower gain cause I was used to Futaba 401's that used higher gains.

i swapped out the two year old tail hub/grip`s and pitch slider.
i have the gyro setup in f.mode with the gain at 37%,and can now run in idleup.
this gyro is holding nicelly and will not need a new gyro.
