Some people leave out the thrust washer between the fan hub and motor, but this leaves a small about of clutch sticking out of the bell. Or they shim the bell down a bit to compensate.
I had the same problem since I am running the Redline 53.
What I did was left it as is and remove the fan shroud from the frame and take my dremel to the frame with a small sanding disk. I raised the curve on the frame about a 1/16 of an inch. Then I elongated the 2 screw holes in the frame a bit.
Put it all back together and bolt the motor up. Then just push the fan shroud up a bit and tighten down the screws.
Took all of 10 minutes, my clutch is fully seated in the bell, and with the thrust washer in place I have no worrys about the crank rubbing the backing plate on the motor.
