I've had good luck with the aluminum gaskets and those split lock washers.Heli-itis sufferer.

No gasket needed. You have two flat mating surfaces. Clean them, install the muffler, tighten the bolts. Go fly. Land, while still hot, tighten the bolts again. Fly again, land, tighten bolts while still hot.

The muffler should now stay put till you want to take it off. No loctite, no gasket, no silicone RTV, no epoxy, no nothing needed. Use a good wrench that FITs the bolt head so you actually tighten the darn thing without rounding out the socket.

I bought another Align 50 pipe, and I had flights with it, the problem is solved by don't put the gasket for the pipe, just attach it to the engine
