Carlou, this is the head I am currently using, you can see the pitch link attach points give you three positioning points to dial in your setup.

Hello Carlou, so here are some pics of how I did my conversion, and if you check out my gallery, there are some samples how the bird changed from then to now.

Hi Goober,

If I understood you right, with your converted head to FBL, the pitch has exceeded the allowable limit in the FBL software. You can solve this by moving the ball in the grip inward as shown in the attachment. If pitch is still bid, move the balls of the pitch servo horn inwards. This should fix the pitch to the correct settings of teh FBL unit.

Are you able to send me the part number of the assembly holding the inner race of the swash plate?

Best Regards,
Carlou

Hello Carlou, Firstly, The part numbers for the washout base is 0414-542.
If you need the arms, 0414-543. If you cant find them locally, from your favorite supplier, go to RC Japan as they will get one for you.
Secondly, Thank you for observing the linkages on the head and pitch control, this made me look at some pictures of the heli before I swapped out servos, fbl system and the hpm lever to carbon fiber.
What I found is what you pointed out! On my old config before swapping out servos the links on the pitch servo were much closer like the aileron and elevator servos in the pic you have seen. So.....
I really appreciate this chat as it is giving me a new perspective on the whole thing.
Thank you again!

Tip on making sure that the helicopter is perfectly level after changing the battery.

Unlike Glow engine powered helicopter that the CG changes as the fuel level is depleted, battery operated helicopter have the advantage of setting the CG at the center of the main mast on the whole duration of the flight. This will make your helicopter hover better and fly straight for the whole duration of the flight. The only problem is when you change the batteries, you must be very precise to install the next batteries to the exact position where you took out the depleted batteries. To overcome this, I have installed a bubble level that will tell me if the CG is perfect along the two axis. Suspend the helicopter using your hand after every battery change and read the bubble level and adjust the battery if needed.
