Im looking for electric conversion of benzin trainer.
Has anyone make this ever?
Any tips? What king of motor can lift this beast and how many Amps it need?

I use to have that setup. I still have the axi motor, if you u are interested in buying, only have a few test flights on it.

The Axi motor have a lot of power. Only thing is that it weight 2lb, double the weight of some motor and short flight time. That's why, I switched to a lighter Xera motor.

The gear ratio that Air-star provide only works with the AXI motor.

it is very easy to convert a Benzin Trainer to electric. There is some material on Vario web site, so check that. Otherwise all you need to do is put a one way bearing in the 40 tooth alumin timing gear (otherwise when motor stops tail stops very sudenly, blades collapse and damage themselves) It is very easy to find Alum XL pulleys for the electric motor and timing belts of every size to get the gear ratio you want for your heli. I have put a Pletty 360 A2 and it works.
