1st s9257
2nd 290g
3rd s3153
4th align stock tail servo

I tested all of them. best perfomence was 9257 with 37mm tail blades. Carbons are ok.

I am running the JR 290 with the longer pitch arm on the tail and counter weighted grips and have great performance. Only thing I have an iddue with is the boom slidinng in the boom block loosening the belt. Aluminum boom block and servo mounts will hopefully get rid of that problem. But yeah the 290 with the counter weighted grips really changed the performance of my 250. Holds like a big helicopter.

The Hitec 5084 has worked out great for me . So fast I had to add some expo . I wish I found this when I had my Fbl gaui 200.

Its a little big but I have seen bigger on such a little bird .

I have a question for you guys using the Align GP750 gyro and 9257 tail servo. I have the stock motor /esc with GP750 gyro and 9257 tail servo.

The person I got this heli from has the step down between the tail and gyro, is this neccessary or can the servo be used without the step down?

Also, how far out from center is your ball?

I am running the following set up:
HS65MG X3
stock motor/esc
outrage 800mah packs
GP750 gyro with 9257 w/step down (ball is 10mm out from center, gain below 22 or it starts to wag)
stock plastic blades

If your bec is putting out 6v than I would use the step down. If its a 5.1v bec than you won't have to use a step down and save a few grams

^^^^ yea, everyone says that they burn it out in 3 flights!
to me they have a setting wrong on the gyro. because when i was doing setup i had to double check the manule for settings because the tail servo was getting really hot!

^^^ or they have their Align ESC still set to the factory default 6V and are burning it out from over voltage (even though it's supposed to be good for 6V)...

no, i have mine set on 6v and its running fine. most likely its someone trying to get it in the air fast and overlooking a setting on the gyro that overloads it with signal or something that burns it out.

Its a little weak for 250, especial if you tail is not perfic. Don't get me wrong i used it and its a good servo but i had better results with 9257.
