I sure hope that it’s a little smaller for my T500. I have looked at installing one of my SK360’s but there is not enough to install that and a gyro in such a small helicopter.

I sure hope they do away with those switches and pots and make it 100% electronic. Some installations you bury the gyro and you have to remove it to get to the switches. I sure hope that they get plenty of user input before making the final design.

Does Skookum have a forum?

There is a section only for Skookum on helifreak. I know Skookum reads the posts there.

I put the gyro sensor on the bottom plate behind the motor on my Trex 500. Well protected, and no weird effects.

I sure hope it will work with my new Futaba system that has the high-speed servo interface. Has anyone tried one of these new high frame rate receivers with the Skookum
?

How fast is the frame rate on Futaba receivers these days? 11ms?

Is this really an RX???
It just says that it has extra satellite ports. I still see the input slots for the RX wires and the output slots to go to the servos...

Yes? No?

The satellite RX's are the real radio receivers, the various units with satellite ports are acting as the servo-signal generator only.

The unit can either accept old-style PWM inputs from any radio, or make use of Sat RX's. If you use Sat RX's, the ports that would have been inputs can be used as outputs for throttle + aux channels.

With a satellite. Or hook it to a PCM receiver the same way you would an SK360.

The site says that it will use Futaba satellites when they are released. The new min v-bar also talks about its compatible with futaba satellites. This is the first I've heard about Futaba satellites, is there anymore info about them.

Word I heard on the Futaba satellites is they should be available towards the end of the year.

I imagine bank switching would be done no differently than it is now. Bank switching works as normal on the Mini-V using satellites.
