in my old jr 10x, it have this expo function in the swash menu. Its either inh or act. I usually have this option enable. This function is use to simulate a linear moment of a servo.

what is the equivalent function of this on a futaba 14mz.

thanks

Tam

I have the 12Z so it might not be exactly the same, but look under the AFR menu. Should show a straight line with LINEAR in the box.

The EXPO's appear when you change the LINEAR box. JR Expo is opposite to Futaba, but you will be able to tell just by looking at the curve.

Not that expo. They are not the same kind. Expo in the swash menu is not the same kind of expo in the EXP/DR menu or afr in a futaba.

but thanks for your respond.

Hi xxcysxx,

I know exactly what you mean, as I used to use it on my old JR10x (night and day on visual eccpm interactions! ) I thought the 14mz had the same but called something else, but for the life of me I cant find it, so maybe I am wrong. I did a search around on here, and found this thread:

http://www.runryder.com/t309261p1/?...14mz+swash+expo

Look at MrMel's post (quote from his post is below)
In JR you only have "on or off" with the EXP setting, in a 14MZ you can program each mix by your self, getting 100% perfect movement.
Anyway, it will make day and night in terms how the bird flies to have a good eCCMP setup.
Hope this helps?

Ryan.

thanks for your respond. it look like i will have to maually program it in or mix it out. i couldn't find a similar discription of this function in the manual. i searched around and only seen peoples mention of it, no one directly talk of it.
oh well.

I spoke to a friend yesterday who has the 14Z. He showed me the menu, to mix out unwanted interaction on CCPM. Is that what you are trying to achieve?

Hi Tam,

There is no equivalent expo in 14MZ. I used to have a JR 9XII, I know what you are talking about. The swash expo in 9XII will only slow down the servo motions to smooth out the interaction.

The 14MZ do this in another way, you can refer to this link for a perfect setup.

I dint notice it slow down the servo travel, but i did notice it slightly reduce overall travel. i had to increase the swash mix rate to compensate. No big deal. It also appear the servo move slightly quicker at the extreme travel than at center.

thanks for the link. But It has the same kind of instruction i've read on helifreak and futaba FAQ.
